Chapter 8
It was painful for the witch to be there.
The witch that, you probably guessed by now was named Sybil.
The most painful part was the feeling of loneliness. She was in the middle of all of theses strange creatures, and she didn't have anyone to lean on.
They were all together, in the middle of her little tiny living room, and she had to pretend that she didn't see them.
She had to pretend that death wasn't there 2 seconds ago and she had to ignore the vision about her past.
She played music, and focused on the lyrics, faking to be happy. She faked it so well and so hard, that she almost believed it herself.
She had had that lonely feeling in her heart since forever. In fact, at this point she didn't know it herself but she had had that feeling for millennials. She had it since the beginning of her human existence and it followed her into every life she's been trough. It was to the point where she didn't know what life was without it.
She had to remember to hide her thoughts, without thinking about hiding her thoughts.
The only thing that could make everything stop inside her head was an visualizing an image:
The galaxy. The peaceful, beautiful, amazing, strong and wild image of an endless immense galaxy. Full of stars, and full of emptiness.
She could see the picture in her head so clearly.
All other worries disappeared and in was only her, in space. In this peaceful environment that was nothing yet, but everything all at once.
Cindy was in the room. Completely ignored by the rest of the group.
The small being looked at the witch, doing dishes, a smile on her face, singing along to a human song. The witch was good. She had everyone convinced of her hapiness.
But Cindy had picked up something. Cindy heard a little call, tiny, shy, behind the images of nebulas.
Death.
The witch had been in contact with death.
The end was upon them. The change she felt had started.
Cindy knew.
And she wasn't gonna miss that train.
Hopefully, the other celestial beings could not hear Cindy's thoughts. They could only hear the human's ones.
The little group of celestial beings followed the witch for two days.
Two days that were the most horrible days of the witch's life. In which she had to control herself, every thought and every feeling.
Not a single other time did she left out a thought about death, about her past, about her memory. Nothing.
But Cindy heard it. She was sure.
The two archetype supreme, that we called Tim and Mark, finally decided that they had enough.
They were convinced, they were safe, change was not upon them, they were in perfect control of life and life was good.
The team of celestial beings left all together. But Cindy stayed, for a small second more.
She took a look by the window.
In that simple second everything placed itself differently.
Time is not linear in their world. Time is not a thing.
In taking the decision to intervene in the situation, in choosing to disobey, Cindy had changed her energy. And for them, everything is energy, they are energy.
Her quiet and cute energy had become red and passionate. Mad and full of darkness.
She turned her head around to see death staring at her from outside.
In that same second she had time to hide her energy behind a mirror of light and vanish, following the rest of the crowd.
Being an angel, she could only hide energy, she couldn't control it. Knowing that hiding it would be enough for now, she went back to her work.
Leaving death and the witch alone, for now.
